Resources
One of the most important resources for the Dunz is water and this can be extracted from the Great Victoria Desert. There are numerous rock holes, soaks and wells holding varying amounts of water. All across the desert, water has been dammed on clay pans and is available in the roots of trees like black oaks. As well as this, the ocean just outside the desert provides us with water and artesian basins hold it too. The ocean and artesian basins mostly have a high level of salinity in their water so the humans do not drink it which means that we will not have to share this water in order to drink.
The desert also has an abundance of minerals which we can use for our daily activities. These minerals include quartz which can be found in the sand of the dunes and limestone which is found on the Nullabor Plain. These two things can be used to cool those who may not immediately adjust to the hot climate here since some Dunz are more sensitive to heat than others. There is also salt which is found all over the desert in dry salt lakes, underground in artesian basins and in the ocean outside Nullabor Plain. We can use this salt as a replacement to keep our bodies clean, especially if it is dissolved in water (artesian basins). These minerals along with some others that still need to be tested can be used for a daily life's needs.
